When people think of games in an educational context, most probably think of playful learning and educational games. However, anyone who takes a closer look at modern board games and their possible uses will quickly discover how wide the range is: games for integration, for strengthening cognitive skills, for developing collaborative problem-solving, for promoting social skills and much more.

At Educators Day, experts, researchers and practitioners from around the world will provide insights into the diversity of games and education.

In addition to the stage programme in Hall 4, we are offering an Educators Day Meet & Connect event on the same day in the conference room "Saal Deutschland" (Conference Centre South). From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., interested parties can exchange ideas about the use of games in education in a relaxed atmosphere. You can meet speakers, publishers and representatives of great projects, exchange experiences and gain further insights into the use of games. Admission is free for all visitors to SPIEL Essen.
