But what impact does this colorful world, which is transported from all over the globe by ship, plane or truck, have on the environment? How sustainable are games and how much ecological thinking goes into the themes of board games today? Is it perhaps even the case that our industry can positively shape the future here?

SPIEL Essen is dedicating an entire day to all of these questions and further on as part of SPIEL.talks – Sustainability.

In discussion rounds, panels, lectures and workshops, experts from the world of board games will present their topics relating to sustainability and the environment.
