Update: SPIEL Essen ticket shop online again
The SPIEL Essen ticket shop is available again. The problem has now been solved and you can get your tickets for the fair again.
Update: SPIEL Essen ticket shop offline for the time being - excessive rush causes technical problems on ticket server
Due to technical problems, we had to take the SPIEL Essen 2025 ticket shop offline again for the time being. The error has been recognised: Unfortunately, the shop is no longer able to assign the ticket purchases made or attempted to the user account. This causes problems during checkout, registration and when sending ticket and purchase confirmation emails. Due to the very high volume of traffic on the ticket provider's server, these problems cannot be resolved while the shop is online. The ticket provider's technical team is working at full speed to repair the error.
As soon as we know when the ticket provider's server will be online again, we will inform you on all channels. For all of you who have already purchased tickets but have not yet received them by email, please check your profile after the restart to see if tickets are stored there. If not, you can simply make a new purchase. We will extend the Early Bird rate by the days that the shop starts later.

Your path to a ticket: online with indivudal Add-Ons
Tickets for SPIEL Essen 2025 are available exclusively online through our ticket shop, open 24/7. We recommend acting fast, as demand is traditionally very high. Plus, early birds can snag a discount with the Early-Bird rate until August 5, 2025. While there won't be a box office on-site, you can still purchase last-minute tickets (if available) directly via your smartphone in the online shop.
This year, we've prepared some cool add-ons you can add to any ticket:
- The Lootbag: Filled with exclusive SPIEL Essen merch and the new official SPIEL game, "Fair Enough" by renowned designer Friedemann Friese.
- Golden Demon: For all miniature artists! Purchase this add-on and register separately with Games Workshop if you want to compete.
- CATAN – Connect: On Friday evening in the Grugahalle, Kosmos is hosting the largest CATAN game ever – a world record attempt! With the corresponding add-on, you can actively play or watch the spectacle unfold.
- Educators Day: The Educators Day returns on Friday, with free participation included in your ticket. If you'd like a certificate of attendance, simply book the add-on in the ticket shop.
